Shopping Disaster=New Bubble Skirt

So today I went to a store (to remain nameless) with a really good coupon. I wanted to make sure that I knew the rules before I started shopping so I went and specifically asked. I was told that my coupon applied to everything. So I went on my way-with BOTH kids mind you-and shopped-for me, for Justin, for the kids....and for family members upcoming birthdays and such...I get up to the counter and start checking out. Before we started I re-showed the coupon. The checker got through about 80% of my stuff and said "Now you do know that coupon doesn't apply to sale or clearance items...." NO I did NOT KNOW-since I asked....grrr.

So I told them what I was told and that it is frustrating because I specifically asked before shopping-why because I have 2 small children and wasn't going to shop if I couldn't use it on sale/clearance items...the result $5 off my next shopping trip...

Anyway enough venting...I can home and created this for free! I had gotten the idea from http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/ -Ladies Tutorials-and decided that if I wasn't going to buy a cheap skirt I would make a cheaper one:)

This skirt I got about 3 years ago-on clearance :)-really comfy and WITH pockets but the length has always been a bit off-no longer though! I will take one later on me-when Justin gets home:)

Hey!

We have been a busy bunch these past couple of weeks:) Highlights below:)
1. Justin and I celebrated 7 years married-we got to go to Chelan for the weekend and also got to spent a kid-less night in Belleuve the weekend of our actual anniversary-so great! Thanks for grandparents!
2. Claire has officially sprouted her legs and decided to walk on occasion!
3. Blake continues to be a funny guy-here is one of the latest:
  • After watching baptisms in church he asks me (about 3 hours later) "Mom why was Ern splashing all the people in church and then we all clapped? When I splash Claire you say "NOOOOOOO" you do not clap..."
  • While watching me cut meat off a cooked Turkey-as I am taking the legs off he shouts "Mom, don't rip his legs off!!!!!"

4. We mowed our lawn! By we I mean Justin did-so that is great-and he and Blake overturned the garden so we are ready for some summer planting...if we every can trust that we are past frost season.

5. I made a BUNCH of new burp cloths and have had fun selling some of them...I will take pictures of the new patterns tonight and try to get them on the site and Facebook.:)

Can't believe that we are a week away from Easter...even though it is really late this year it seems like it has come soo fast. :)

Three Faces of Blake...

As I psychology major I got the "pleasure" of watching movies about multiple personalities in my classes such as "Cybil" and the "Three Faces of Eve" this little photo shoot that Blake and I had on Saturday morning made me think of that...Goofy little boy and his funny faces!
