Whoops! The evening of the 19th....looking at lights....

On our way out to look at lights in our pjs Blake was pretending to be Linus from Charlie Brown...
Dad and Claire ready to go!

Paint Christmas Cards...

Blake and Frosty!
She sure is cute!
Sitting in Frosty's Chair!
Happy Birthday!
In the snowglobe!
Opening Emma's gifts.
Checking out Blake's new camera!
We spent the 20th with my Mom and got to go to Microsoft's winter wonderland party with my dad. We have done this since Blake was 2-Blake loved it the first time he went and has loved it ever since, now remembering parts of last year's visit. (He reminded us when we sat in a chair for pictures that the previous year that was "Frosty's chair." It was Claire's 2nd time going, last year she was only 10 months and kind of oblivious to the whole thing...this year at 22 months she had quite the opinion and her opinion was I don't like this!!! At the VERY end I got her in the snow globe but even then every time I tried to put her down she clung to me as if I was trying to drop her in a hole. After that we celebrated Blake and his 2nd cousin Emma's birthday (a party that was to be the first of the month but with my mom gone we postponed).
The 21st we spent the day at home packing to go to Justin's family (leaving sometime this morning) and made Christmas Cards for them with Microsoft paint....Blake loves to do this but will have little to do with coloring...funny boy!

A new trick!

This is Claire with her new trick:) Find mommy's shoes and do this.....
Hee Hee!
It is funny Blake NEVER (well probably not never but rarely) did this....but my little girl is starting young with a love of shoes! She now will go into my closet and search after them, often not satisfied until she finds a match-which, since my closet is often a mess can be a task:) Wonder where she gets it ;)

14-17-The end of a fun week...Blake is now 4!

This little girl loved celebrating her brother....
My sweet lady!
(Blake said to us the morning of his birthday- "I am soo excited for my NEXT birthday because that means that Claire will turn 3, and when she is 3 we get to be in the SAME class at Blue Sky!" "Won't that be GREAT!" Praying that their love for each other continues!
A PJ boy with his Birthday crown!
4!
Oh the train!
This week was a busy one! On the 14th we did some more baking (no pics) the 15th was PJ day, the 16th plans got moved to the 17th as Blake wanted to do the movie night ON his Birthday, so the 17th included a fun train ride, opening gifts, cake, and a movie night! What a great time we had celebrating our wonderful boy. I can't believe that it has been 4 years it seems like only yesterday I was leaving the hospital to bring him home...

13-Tape Art! And one lone pic of the 11th....

This was really fun! We just taped scotch tape to computer paper and then used watercolors on the paper. When done I used a paper towel to wipe off the tape of paint residue and done! You could also do it with masking tape which you would probably be able to take off when done. :) Fun times!
Oh and here was the aftermath of our fort fun!

11 and 12...sorry no pics!

We did some fun stuff for days 11 and 12 but I couldn't take pictures of one and didn't bring the camera along with me for the other so you will have to trust me:)
11-we simply enjoyed some good ole fashioned fort making with blankets. This activity is the one that I couldn't take pictures of as I was on "save the fort from the Godzilla that was Claire" duty and was just having too much fun to be bothered with pictures. :)
12-We went an bought a toy for a kiddo that needed one. It was a good but hard lesson for Blake, one that I hope gets easier with time. He did a really good job and eventually understood that he would be getting gifts from his family and some kids aren't that blessed. In the end he had fun and wanted to pray for the kid who would get the toy we got-it just took awhile to get to that point. :)

Sometimes simple is best!

Sometimes simple IS best. On Day 7 the task was very simple-pick 7 Christmas books to read-having a kid born soo close to Christmas has made it easy to collect these as many people add one to his Birthday gifts:)-and it has been my favorite activity. Blake and I snuggled and read them together (Claire wondered around and joined when she wanted). We all had fun! It was really fun to have buddy read to me for part of the time too!

Blake and Mama getting ready to read! The books we picked:)
Books are FUN!

Day 3 and 4....

Dad and Blake getting the next clue. Finding the Bible verse to read.
On the train!

Here it comes!

Excited girl and dad. On a walk with the lights. Cheese!

Gel Stickers!

Working together!

This weekend we got to have some fun doing the advent stuff with Dad:) We went on a train ride down at The Landing in Renton (off of exit 5 in Renton)-for $1! The kids loved it and then we walked around and looked at the lights at Gene Coulon Park...by this time the kids and adults were cold-but it was still fun. Then on Sunday the kids got to go see Nana in between church services-they had a BLAST! And my parents did too.

The gel stickers that they put on the windows they loved (Claire thought they were Jello and kept trying to to eat them). And they were cheap ($.50 on clearance-at Fred Meyer).
