Shopping Disaster=New Bubble Skirt

So today I went to a store (to remain nameless) with a really good coupon. I wanted to make sure that I knew the rules before I started shopping so I went and specifically asked. I was told that my coupon applied to everything. So I went on my way-with BOTH kids mind you-and shopped-for me, for Justin, for the kids....and for family members upcoming birthdays and such...I get up to the counter and start checking out. Before we started I re-showed the coupon. The checker got through about 80% of my stuff and said "Now you do know that coupon doesn't apply to sale or clearance items...." NO I did NOT KNOW-since I asked....grrr.

So I told them what I was told and that it is frustrating because I specifically asked before shopping-why because I have 2 small children and wasn't going to shop if I couldn't use it on sale/clearance items...the result $5 off my next shopping trip...

Anyway enough venting...I can home and created this for free! I had gotten the idea from http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/ -Ladies Tutorials-and decided that if I wasn't going to buy a cheap skirt I would make a cheaper one:)

This skirt I got about 3 years ago-on clearance :)-really comfy and WITH pockets but the length has always been a bit off-no longer though! I will take one later on me-when Justin gets home:)

  1. I have that skirt too - and love it! Pockets are the best. I found this one on Made and really want to make it: http://www.dana-made-it.com/2008/07/tutorial-summer-skirt-with-deep-pockets.html
